I’m sure you thought that I totally forgot about this but I didn’t. It’s just a day late. If you follow me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram you probably knew that I was in Miami recently. And if you’re not following me on any of my social channels I suggest that you head over and do so now because I post some pretty fun and delicious looking photos.
Alright, back to Miami. The trip had two purposes: my very first blog conference and a chance to get away and relax for my birthday. BlogHer puts on a great conference each year devoted to the world of food blogging. I was so excited to be able to attend and was looking forward to the wealth of knowledge that would come from the event. And the swag. I’m not going to lie. There was a lot of swag. And parties. So knowledge, swag and parties. Sounds fun, right?
The best part of the trip was getting to put a lot of faces to blog names. I interact with a lot of other bloggers and companies on a regular basis but don’t know many of them in real life. It was really fun to be surrounded by others who share my same passion for food and photography!
I also had the opportunity to join a Miami Culinary Tour on my final day of the conference. If you’re ever in Miami and you love to eat, I highly recommend checking them out! We had the opportunity to taste a wide variety of flavors. I can also now say that I have eaten the best churro in the world. Hands down.
After packing up all of my swag and saying goodbye to all of my new friends, I met up with my fiance and headed over to South Beach for some relaxation. Lots of food, lots of sun. I also had the chance to drive an adorable Fiat around the city!
All in all it was a great trip and a great way to ring in my birthday.
