Say that recipe name 10 times fast!

I really enjoy creating appetizers because they allow you to make things in small sizes and be creative in the presentation. There is just something about putting things on tiny sticks, or miniature plates that really gets me excited!

I really don’t have any big events coming up but it’s always fun to play around with recipes on the weekend. This past weekend I decided to put an Asian-spin on tostadas using Bumble Bee® Solid White Albacore tuna. Using wonton wrappers as the base, a mix of shredded carrots and cabbage, green onions, a wasabi sauce and Bumble Bee® Solid White Albacore Tuna my adorable little appetizer came together. Much like myself you are probably familiar with tuna that comes in a can. This was my first time buying this variety of tuna and I was very impressed with how well it worked for my recipe. Seeing is believing and Bumble Bee® Solid White Albacore Tuna is quality you can see – the moment you open the can. With a firm texture, light color and fresh taste – Bumble Bee® Solid White Albacore is the perfect ingredient to deliciously enhance almost any recipe, adding a variety of nutrients – including lean protein, healthy fat and important vitamins and minerals. *see their website for full nutritional facts

Teriyaki Tuna Tostadas

You can easily fry up the wontons prior to your event and assemble the tostadas right before you’re ready to serve them. You can also bake the wonton wrappers to avoid having to deep fry them in your house. I prefer them fried because they cooking evenly and turn out crispier.

These are also a great family dinner option! One recipe will serve a family of 4. Enjoy!
