Have you noticed the small bits of fall in the air? I certainly have! I spent the last few days on an end-of-summer vacation up at a lake cabin and it was just nice to sit around and relax. Even nicer was coming home to a tomato plant with green tomatoes getting nice and ripe!

I’m sitting around waiting for them to ripen so that I can eat tomatoes until I’m blue in the face. I have found, however, that you don’t have to wait until your tomatoes are completely red to pick them and storing them properly can help make sure that you’re not letting them over ripen before eating.

Today I’m sharing some tips and tricks for tomato harvesting on the Living Litehouse blog. There’s also a recipe for a twist on the classic wedge salad that can help you use up your tomato harvest.

Head on over to the Living Litehouse blog to learn more about tomato picking this year and to get the recipe for my Tomato Wedge Salad!
