- 2 cups basmati rice
- 1 15 oz can red beans, drained
- 1 14 oz can chopped tomatoes
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons thyme
- 2 teaspoons cumin powder
- 1½ teaspoons salt
- 4 cups hot water
- In a small skillet add the garlic and oil and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add all of the ingredients to the rice cooker and press the 'white rice' option on your rice cooker.
- Serve immediately.
